There is no incentive for them not to do drugs. Currently, you could be a model prisoner with zero negative reports on you, and you are going to be denied parole. The parole board is useless currently, its a waste of time and money and it is a shame that the board members continue to be allowed to do what they are doing. They are making the conditions worse in the prisons because the prisoners know they are going to be denied parole regardless so they dont care what they do or how they act. Prisons suppose to try and rehabilitate criminals, Alabama doesnt even make any attempt to anymore.
I saw that posted on Twitter. I don't understand why these guys were fine with being filmed. Is there never any consequences to getting caught doing drugs?
And if the prison administration is not corrupt those officers who are sleeping on duty need to be reprimanded. But I guess we know how that will turn out.
No there aren't consequences in here when guys shoot up, except the ultimate consequence, death. I see the same things at Bibb and have gotten desensitized to it all.
Fine with being filmed? Good question? Maybe just maybe the consequences aren't consequences at all? Maybe the consequences are not as important as the fact they know this is their life. Although I'm not an addict I actually can understand where their only hope of escape is through the drug at this point. As Jane McCarley said above no insensitives to change. As I've said in many occasions no hope to live. Now we point our fingers at ADOC.. But we aren't pointing our fingers at the right ones. Taxpayers is our money, our creation. Our blame.
The real problem here is the CO's the problem starts with them ! How do people think drugs get in prison ? By Co's and people that work there not inmates ! They don't give a fuck , they just want money that's it all they care about ! they get them high so they ain't gotta deal with them , they don't give a fuck if they die or overdose cause it's one less inmate they have to deal with ! Unfortunately one of these pictures are my little brother so I know far to well alabama prison is really like ! If they would stop blaming inmates for everything and they blame their self it could get better !
Consequences? Who would issue the consequences, the guards? The very ones bringing it in… why would they punish their customers ? Start at the source.. there’s more to this than just the blame game
