This is so true and as a mother of an incarcerated person in Alabama for over twenty years, the prisons are in crisis and no one seems to care and Legislators definitely do not! My vote will be used to rid them again one day, but for now something has to be done to change these policies! Inmates are human beings that made mistakes and God forgives , where is the humanity in causing even more pain to other people that are innocent and love their loved ones? Greed and pride of all politicians, God said there is a time and place for all things and he will see Justice also for the harm you cause! I love God and I believe his words and they always come to pass! Policies need changed immediately! Families should not suffer especially when they are innocent of no crimes! Inmates should be treated as humans not animals! This isn’t hard to correct at all and should be! Families are the money you are getting from them ADOC, you take money from inmates that their families give them , not you and make a billion dollar business and think you are entitled and innocent, however you all are the true criminals! Change your policies now , families and taxpayers are paying all of your salaries and getting nothing in return!
