I’m not feeling particularly patriotic this July 4th eve, so I’ll offer this palate cleanser from my phone.
All were taken in the past year in Alabama. The abundance of green, chattering biodiversity is one of my favorite features of this complicated place I call home.
I believe the trees. They embody a wisdom, fortitude and serenity that we humans could stand to pattern after, if we could just shut up for a minute and be still.
Find some shade. Drink some water. Take care of your precious selves.
